Most custodial workers in Gurgaon are women. These are the janitorial staff in all the malls, hotels, and households in Gurgaon. They along with their families live out of several makeshift camps in unused plots of land, until inevitable construction begins and they need to move out. These are their living conditions, in stark contrast to where they work, and also often, their surroundings.
